Kimberly A. Lonsway, Ph.D.

Dr. Kimberly A. Lonsway earned her Ph.D. in psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the American Bar Foundation in Chicago.  After moving to California, Dr. Lonsway worked for the National Center for Women & Policing and taught as an adjunct professor at California Polytechnic State University.  In 2003, she joined End Violence Against Women International (EVAWI), where she serves as the Director of Research, providing training and technical assistance to professionals across the country and around the world.  Dr. Lonsway also advises researchers, educators, journalists, and policymakers, and she provides expert witness services related to sexual violence, the dynamics of victimization, and the criminal justice and community response system.
